Leslie Jones lands Netflix standup special to kick off in D.C.; cautions Trump not to come
Just recently comedian and starlet Leslie Jones announced that she’ll be headlining her own Netflix stand-up comedy unique. She likewise stated President Trump would not be welcome.
On Thursday, Jones dropped in ABC’s, where she made the big reveal.
“So y’ all lastly get to see what I really do. I mean it’s fantastic to be a starlet, but I’m really a stand-up hardcore. That’s what pays the costs!”

The Saturday Night Live cast member informed Kimmel and viewers that Netflix is slated to release the special at some point in 2020. The Jesse Collins Entertainment-produced job will begin taping in Washington D.C. on September 10. During her sit-down, the Hollywood star revealed why she chose D.C. for her program’s debut.
“I picked D.C. out of all the cities due to the fact that D.C. has among the very best comic crowds … So people in D.C. go purchase tickets!”
As it currently stands, Jones’ unique is still untitled. “I’m playing with the titles since the material is so near to me and I’m informing you men It’s going to be so great,” she informed Kimmel.
When asked if she ‘d be inviting Trump to her D.C. program, Jones promptly responded, “Hell no! And I hope you reveal up so I can talk bad about your ass,” the comic specified, prior to following up with a warning to the present POTUS. “Do not you show up. You are banned, period. You are banned from my life!”
Together with her approaching stand-up special, Jones will also voice the character of “Zeta,” in the upcoming Angry Birds 2, which hits movie theaters next week, August 16. The 51-year-old star is also gearing up for her sixth season of ‘SNL.’
